CPD Swimming -Supporting Pupil Pool side

Service Description

It engages the delegates in developing their ability to be able to work alongside and under the supervision of the fully qualified swimming instructor so that they can take responsibility for working with a small group of pupils of the same ability (non-swimmers / beginners) in shallow water. This can allow more pupils to be in the water and/or increase the time available for pupils to be in the water as well as providing additional tuition and support for those pupils who need it most. Maximising the learning time for pupils, maximising the feedback to help improve performance and achievement. This CPD course is aimed at helping schools to improve their pupils’ swimming outcomes. Delegates will be introduced to a proven framework for the teaching of aquatic skills, look at how to introduce swimming strokes, analyse a swimmer to see what they need to work on and how to support them. Delegates will receive a USB containing a huge variety of teaching material and resources for their school to enhance their teaching. Numbers attending from each school will be limited to 2 but schools can book this CPD for their school and staff if required where numbers needing access to this course are higher. This course does not qualify delegates as swimming instructors/teachers.
